As I mentioned in an earlier blog (here), there is a friendly family rivalry when it comes to ACC sports. I remember growing up in a household that cheered on various ACC teams... until they played each other. Teams among the cheering section included Duke, UNC, and Maryland. My mom and dad went to Maryland as students. My uncle (mom's bro), worked at Duke for a time and lives in the Raliegh/Durham area. So now there is a friendly sparring between my uncle and my parents. I take great joy that we have somehow ended up in the middle of it. You see, before Norah was even born, she was set up to be a Duke fan... here she is in her Duke shirt that she grew into and out of in the same week. I have to say, Norah has received no Terrapin merchandise... therefore, Norah will be rooting for the Blue Devils in the immediate future. That said, I confess unapologetically, that we can be bought. So family.... who do you want Norah to cheer for as she grows up??

We CAN be Bought

I am a failure...... I have searched and searched for something small and cool reflecting our side of the family debate and, sigh, Duke has the corner on the market of little shirts. Both little, and bigger. I will keep looking tho because I never back down from a challenge!

Guess it's time for the NC Aunt Sara to go shopping again at the oh so awesome DUKE store. I thought it looked so big when I bought it at Christmas.....who knew?? GO DUKE should be her bedtime mantra.......ha
