Healthy Tears

Friday, Norah had her 4 month check up with Dr. B. Everyone in the office was thrilled and amazed at how big she has gotten. The nurses who were to administer her shots were tickled with her chunky monkey legs -- apparently fat legs makes for easier shots (I don't know that Norah would agree). So the long and the short of it... Norah is growing at a healthy rate and is looking good on all fronts. She is officially 15 pounds 3 ounces and 25 inches long. This moves her up from the 50% 2 months ago to the 75-80% group. Four shots later, and a whole lot of baby tears, we were on our way with a clean bill of health.

On the food front, Dr. B didn't take issue with us starting Norah on food. He gave us the company line about waiting until 6 months, but said that most people don't wait that long. I know we started Josie at 4 months, so I wasn't too concerned about our decision to do this. He just reminded us to take the food introductions slowly and if any strange reactions occur, to back up and re-evaluate. Sounds logical to me!

Josie's last day of school was also on Friday. She came home a little sad that she didn't win the big raffle-type drawing at the end, but overall, enjoyed the whole experience. Apparently, she enjoyed it so much she needed a nap... a LONG nap... poor girl sacked out on the sofa for almost 2 hours after her long day at school. She is very excited about what the fall will bring school-wise.

That's all for now. Sorry, no new pics. I will work on that this weekend.
