So you may be wondering what has been happening these last couple weeks. Josie has continued with summer school -- loving every minute of it, but coming home completely exhausted. Last week was VBS in the evenings after school, so she was one tired little puppy!! Their themes for summer school have been "the Garden" and "Under the Sea" -- they have learned all about how plants grow and now are learning about fish and other sea creatures. It has been quite fun to see her come home with daily crafts and activities and to hear the new songs she is learning. Ask her sometime and maybe she will sing you "Herman the Worm!" This week is the last week of summer school and then she returns to Pam's for about 6 weeks before school starts. We just got word today about her teacher this fall -- Ms. McClelland! This is wonderful news to us because I know her from her time at CUMC. This will be her second year teaching in our little town and we so look forward to having Josie in her class.
While Josie has been in summer school, Norah has been at Pam's. It has been good to have her there -- Norah has found a routine and is living into it well. She is definitely a growing girl! Call us bad parents, but we made the decision that Norah was a hungry girl and was deserving of some food before the typical 4 month birthday (the recommendation of most pediatricians). So a couple weeks ago, we introduced cereal. Norah, well, she didn't love it, but it sure helped her belly stay full. Next were green beans. Again... not so much in love with them as much as they filled her up. But today.... today came squash and Norah was in love! I had to cut her off at half a jar for fear of how much she would eat. Leave it to our daughter to be smitten with a starchy vegetable! Here are some pictures of her eating endeavors...

Norah is big enough for the exersaucer! This was one of Josie's favorite toys and she would often spend close to an hour in it. We are hopeful that Norah will develop the same love affair with it. Who knows... with her in the saucer, Eric and I might actually be able to eat at the same time rather than in shifts!
There isn't a lot more to report. Well, there probably is, but I am stumped as to what it might be. We have finally gone out and purchased new batteries for the camera, so with any luck, we will get this updated a little more often! Stay tuned -- Norah's 4 month check-up is on Friday... we will keep you posted as to her current stats!
