A Fun First -- SOCCER!

It's official.... I am a Soccer Mom. That is, at least for the next 7 weeks. We finally bit the bullet and signed Josie up for the county soccer league with one of her best buddies. While soccer is not our favorite sport, it is definitely one that gets her running and having fun! The biggest cost to soccer is that all the games are on Sunday afternoons -- I could get high on my soapbox about that, but not today. Today, we simply relished in the fun that was had by both girls... on and off the field!

Josie's team is a reunion of sorts -- I believe 4 of the 6 players are from her kindergarten class last year and all of them attend Eric's church in town.

Today was the first of seven soccer games. Josie had a ball playing and Norah had just as much fun sitting on the sidelines and cheering for the team. "Go Red!" she would say!! As you can see in the last picture... Norah watched very intently!




























Oh... and while no one was really keeping score (thankfully, that is NOT the focus of this league at this age)... the Red Team won 8-6. Wahoo!!
