Lazy Summer Days

Not much has been happening at the Moore Manse these days. I have been slowly recovering from surgery and the girls have been enjoying time with my parents. Among the highlights for Josie has been learning to ride her bike, attending the county fair, and taking swim lessons. Grandpa has been a real sport with the "bike training," as Josie calls it. They have been having a couple "training sessions" each day as she learns to master training wheels. We all agree that if her leg-work were as fast as her talking, she would be in GREAT shape!

Swim lessons just started and Josie is already doing great. She won't be an olympian swimmer when it is over, but hopefully she will be a lot more confident and self-sufficient in the water. She is having a GREAT time!

And the county fair is happening this week. Among Josie's highlights at the fair have been taking a pony ride (an annual event) and the kids tractor pull. Gotta say, she didn't break any records with the tractor pull, but she had a ball and got a 3rd place ribbon. She also got to see lots of the animals up for judging and auction, which is always a treat for this "city girl."

Grandma, Norah, and I have been laying low while Gpa and Eric have been tending to Josie. Me on the sofa, Gma maintaining the house, and Norah everywhere in between (I guess gma wouldn't say she was laying low... she has been busy keeping up with everyone!). Maybe next week I will have some energy to chase Norah around and get some pics to post.
