Counting the Days...

The calendar page has turned -- it is officially February. Here in the lives of our 2 Moore Girls, that means the birthday countdowns have begun! Josie is eagerly counting down until her sixth birthday. With her sixth birthday comes the promise of a friend to spend the night with an evening full of little girl manis and pizza. To say she is excited is an understatement! That said, 6 yrs old comes with some nervousness for her. I have declared that at age 6, children must at least try the "grown up food" that is made for dinner. She is terribly fearful that I am going to force her to eat broccoli and salad by the bucket full. Somewhere along the line, our happy eater became a picky eater.

Norah's countdown is also in progress. Not much longer until this little one is officially "1" and not so little. In the middle of the month we will celebrate both girls' birthday with one party for the local family to come to. You know, local is a relative term... let's change it to "in state." Anyway, Norah is growing by leaps and bounds... standing independently for short periods of time, playing with blocks, helping with laundry, and babbling like crazy. One of these days, those babbles will turn into real sentences and she and her big sister are really going to have to fight for air-time.

This past week were were predicted to get the snow to end all snows. Hmmm... not so much. We got about 3 inches. Not enough to call off school, but definitely enough for snow angels!
