So this house in Fayette has a fabulous front porch--big and long -- perfect for a porch swing and beautiful hanging baskets. With that in mind, I decided to invest in a couple hanging baskets to enjoy this spring and summer. Eric and I went to the nursery, picked out a couple of gorgeous baskets, hung them up and were happy. Within a week, one of them started looking a little drooppier that it should. Lo and behold, a bird had made it's nest in my basket and with that nest, came five eggs. Oh my! So the lesson of life begins for Miss Josie. Learning about eggs and birds, baby birds and learning to fly. Thankfully our cat is an indoor cat, so we won't have to have the immediate "circle of life" conversation that would surely need to happen if Lucy the Cat were aware of the baby birds over head.
Next week: Norah's baptism. After that, it is back to work, Josie's recital, and establishing a new routine. Hold on... it will be a bumpy ride!
