Norah Joy - Day 2

Well, well. As I recall, the hospital stay when Josie was born five years ago was over Ash Wednesday ... and here I'm skipping out on another Ash Wednesday's duties to play new Daddy!

All seems well ... Molly is healing nicely from surgery ... Josie is happy as a clam on her special, long-planned "Big Sister trip" to be with Nana and Papa Mike in Springfield ... and Norah, well, she'd rather sleep than eat. Not sure how she fits into the Moore household with that ethic, but the docs and nurses all say that Norah will figure the eating thing out! As for me, when the girls are happy, I'm happy.

Some have asked about the significance of the name. Just like Josephine Hope, there isn't any more significance than Norah Joy being a name we like. Beautiful, old, traditional-sounding names -- we wrestled with several. And I promise you it isn't the reason we named her this, but it's a fun by-product: JOsephine HOpe MOore and NOrah JOy MOore -- or, if you're keeping score ... JoHoMo and NoJoMo. We have to get a life.

Alas, Lent has begun. I still haven't decided what I'll give up for Lent. Maybe sleep.
