At Long Last... Eye Candy

First of all... my apologies. I know many of you come here looking for eye candy and we have stiffed you for way to long. That is about to change...

It has been a busy few weeks at the manse... then again, this time of year is often very busy for us. I am usually busy August through September while Eric hits his busiest times October through November. On top of that, Eric has officiated three funerals in a relatively short amount of time. Family time has been a pit scarce, but we make the most of the moments we do have. A couple weeks ago we took advantage of a beautiful Saturday and had a picnic at the park. Both girls seemed to enjoy being outside.

As Norah is now almost 8 months old, she has decided to start helping out with her feedings... which is big of her. I forgot how freeing it felt when Josie started holding her bottle. Now as Norah begins to do it... it is just wonderful!! By the way... at 7 months and three weeks, this child still has no teeth...

This past week was Pam's annual open house BBQ. This is a big deal for parents and kids -- fun for the parents to all hang out together and great fun for the kids to run around together. Often, the older siblings of current students come to play, too. Josie was one of 4 older siblings who were there -- she was so thrilled to see her old friends and they seemed just as jazzed to see her. Wish we got some pictures of her with her friends... but they never stood still long enough. While Josie played, Norah hung out with us and our friend Joy.

So really... while we have been VERY busy with life, ministry, and family, we really haven't been doing anything of much interest. Perhaps that is because the whole house has been apprehended by the latest respiratory virus... what fun! Hopefully if we get it over with now we will be better off this winter!

Halloween is just around the corner! I promise to get pics of all that splendor posted in a timely manner. Thanks for sticking with us through it all!
