Baptism Day

What a blessed day today was! The sun was shining, the weather was gorgeous, we were surrounded by family and friends, and it was Norah's baptism day. Truly, this made for a perfect Mother's Day! Norah was baptized at Linn Memorial today -- our last Sunday there before heading back to Community. The Rev. James Powell, a dear friend of ours, came to officiate the baptism to enable Eric to be "Dad" in this important moment of life. Norah was a trooper -- she slept up until the baptism, didn't cry when the water hit her head, and she was a wide-eyed beauty as James walked her down the church aisle to introduce her to the congregation. Norah wore the same gown her sister did fives years ago. Here are some pictures of the service:

Following the service, we had our friends and family over for a bbq lunch -- lots of good eats and fun!
