Nothing makes a Moore girl happier than a new stuffy. Thanks to a family friend who cruised around Alaska, both girls have new Husky friends. Neither girl has parted with their pup, but Miss NJ is especially smitten.

Summer Stories
Hello! It's me, Reddy Heady. Long time, no writing. Today, summer school was out because of water repair. So, I got to spend 7 and a half hours at my best friend, Emma's house. She's going with me to summer church camp Sunday to Wednesday. Emma and I are going by ourselves (no parents!). We are counting down the days till Sunday. Also, in August, I'm going to the Walt Disney World in Florida! That's all for now.

WATER!
Many of my childhood memories of summer revolve around playing in the sprinklers. Jumping through the rainbow sprinkler or running a maze through the in-ground sprinklers at my grandparents' house was how I remember spending many a hot day. Water is fun, no doubt. But water shooting out from sprinklers is even more fun. I am so glad the world seemed to figure this out with the creation of Splash Parks. With our girls, this is a wildly fabulous hit!
Josie enjoys sitting in the middle of the fountains with the water pouring all over her. NJ, well she is much more practical and really enjoys just sitting ON the sprays of water! For me, this is simply a nice and easy way to provide them with summer-time fun without having to haul myself into a crowded swimming pool. Hip, Hip Hooray!

It's the Little Things
It's been a weekend of "little things" that have brought the girls, and therefore the household, much joy. First, NJ got new panties. Yes, new panties makes her little 4yo heart sing with pure joy! With the care that she put into picking them out, you would have thought these were her first pairs, but alas, it's just her being THAT kind of excited. After shopping, she was so excited about her purchase, she couldn't even put them down to eat lunch!
Josie's joy is a bigger joy in the grand scheme of things. As a PK, there are certain things that she looks forward to each week, or as she grows older. She can't wait to be a part of youth group, she looks forward to "helping" in Children's Church each week, and she loves singing as a part of the choir. One of the BIG things Josie looks forward to is being old enough to be an acolyte at either one of our churches. At my church, she has to be in 6th grade before acolyting, while at Eric's church the age is a little lower. Today, due to a variety of circumstances, Josie got to acolyte at Eric's church. The smile on her face shone brighter than the candles she was lighting and she was filled with absolute pride for what she was doing. I am sorry I didn't get to see it, but she was quick to tell me all about it once we were all home. So often in our Sunday living, Eric misses a lot of the "firsts" or performances of the girls. I am SO glad that this was a "first" that he got to enjoy with our girl.
